Espejo in awe of Sta. Rosa's young lion Disquitado

Sta. Rosa City’s Alex Disquitado gained a new fan in Cignal star Marck Espejo.

Disquitado had a stellar debut for the Lions, scoring a game-high 14 points built on 13 attacks in the opening day loss to Espejo and the HD Spikers.

The five-time Spikers’ Turf MVP had nothing but good words for the 18-year-old rising star, who kept Sta. Rosa within striking distance in the first and third frames. Espejo even said that it will only be a matter of time before Disquitado flashes his full potential.

Disquitado, meanwhile, could not help but gush upon knowing what the HD Spikers main man said.

Already anticipating their future match-up, the two also made sure to leave some parting words for each other.

Magkikita pa kami,” Disquitado said.
